    Mixing mastering question

    in Mixing & Mastering Forum

    Hi,

Let me start by saying I know what mastering is, and also know what side chaining is. I also understand why you want to cut certain frequencies, but

The part were I get lost. What to sidechain to what, and how do I know on which instrument I should do cutting, and how much?

    Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

Unless you need to convert sample rates to a common rate for mixing inside a DAW, SRC should really be left to the mastering stage. And then, it should be done just before the final dither. If you must convert sample rates, use one of the modern options like the Voxengo R8brain or iZotope SRC. by followers uk
